Discussion 6. Due: Compare and Contrast Donatello's and Michelangelo's "David."

 Donatello's David for one is bronze and the expressions of both Michelangelo's "David" and Donatello's are different. Michelangelo's put a calmer, composed expression on his David. His David looks as if he's about to go into war with the giant whereas Donatello's "David" looks as if he had just won against the giant and he's proud of himself for his victory. Also, Donatello's "David" is more human sized verses Michelangelo's "David". Michelangelo's "David" is about three times the size of a human which gives off more of a superhuman aura.
