Week 3: Art History & Appreciation Selfie Post

 

    This is the selfie I took for Art History & Appreciation. A little background knowledge of this photo is that I took it in the backseat/trunk of my friend's car after we went to the dam to go swimming. We ended up leaving because our floaties were deflated. I picked this picture out because I felt like it was appropriate for this week's discussion.

 This photo taken from above my face has a blue hue with a prism effect around the edges. If you really look at it, my nose and eyes have the most emphasis meanwhile my shoulder and lips are blurred by the effect. Besides my skin, I would say there is texture on my shoulder with the waves going on.

 This photo also has balance to it because even though it has a blue hue to it you can see my skin tone peeping through all the blue, so the photo itself is not all completely blue.
